Jack & Jill

AI recruiting agents on both sides of the hire: Jill sources for employers, Jack represents candidates, and they introduce only on mutual fit
Jack & Jill is a two-sided AI hiring marketplace in which Jill, an AI recruiting agent, learns an employer's role requirements while Jack, a free AI career agent, interviews candidates by voice. It is for startups and growth companies that want warm, pre-qualified introductions straight to the hiring manager instead of screening piles of applications.
Jack & Jill is an AI recruiting marketplace built by London-based Tinker Tailor Talent Ltd., co-founded by CEO Matt Wilson, who previously founded employer-of-record company Omnipresent (acquired by Deel), and CTO Saaras Mehan. It runs two agents. Jack works for job seekers: it learns what they want through voice calls, email and WhatsApp, reviews listings continuously, and offers mock interviews and salary guidance. Jill works for employers: it reads the job description and questions the hiring team about what success in the role actually looks like. Only when both agents conclude a match is worth making is the candidate introduced directly to the hiring manager, so there is no application step. On September 15, 2026 the company announced a $40 million Series A led by Air Street Capital, with Madrona joining and Creandum and Entrepreneurs First returning, bringing total funding to $60 million less than a year after a $20 million seed round in October 2025. It reports more than 350,000 candidates, over 5,000 hiring companies including Ramp, Attio, Multiverse, Corgi, Tavus and Fyxer, more than 25,000 interviews arranged (about 5,000 a month), and 40-fold revenue growth since the seed, with activity concentrated in San Francisco, New York and London. Employers buy per-role slots, with a free single-slot tier, Slack and Ashby integrations, bias reporting, and candidate-matching assurance from Warden AI. It competes with recruiter marketplaces such as Paraform and AI interviewing tools such as Ethos, and, like all recruitment AI, falls in the EU AI Act's high-risk category.

Key Features
- ✓Jill, the employer agent
Reads the job description and interviews the hiring team about what success looks like, then sources and screens candidates against that brief.
- ✓Jack, the candidate agent
A free AI career agent that learns candidate goals over voice, email and WhatsApp and scans large volumes of job listings daily for fits.
- ✓Double-opt-in introductions
Introductions happen only when both agents judge a match worthwhile, so hiring managers meet interested, pre-qualified candidates without application piles.
- ✓Per-role slots and intro requests
Each paid slot works one open role with 50 intro requests per month, which makes hiring volume and spend easy to budget.
- ✓Ashby and Slack integrations
Paid plans connect to the Ashby applicant tracking system and Slack so introductions land in the tools hiring teams already use.
- ✓Bias reporting and third-party assurance
Bias reporting plus AI candidate-matching assurance from Warden AI help employers evidence fairness in automated screening decisions.
Capabilities
Use Cases
- •Hiring without recruiters
A seed-to-Series-B company lets Jill source and pre-screen candidates for several open roles while founders only take the introduction calls.
- •High-volume, well-defined roles
Teams hiring multiple similar operations, support or junior sales roles receive a steady flow of pre-qualified introductions per slot each month.
- •Reducing agency spend
Companies replace percentage-of-salary contingency agency searches on mid-level roles with a fixed per-slot subscription and direct hiring-manager introductions.
- •Hiring in core hubs
Companies hiring in San Francisco, New York or London tap the cities where Jack's candidate network and interview volume are concentrated.
Ideal For
Best For
- ✓Startups and scale-ups hiring without an in-house recruiting team
- ✓Entry-to-mid-level roles in San Francisco, New York and London
- ✓Replacing contingency agency fees on repeatable roles
- ✓Hiring managers who want direct introductions instead of application piles
Not Ideal For
- ✗Senior, highly specialised or passive-talent searches such as ML engineers or executives: a Paraform review notes the pool is self-selected active job seekers
- ✗Compliance-heavy verticals such as defense, biotech or clinical research that need domain-expert sourcing and human judgement
- ✗EU employers not yet able to document compliance for an automated recruitment system: the EU AI Act classes recruitment AI as high-risk, and The Next Web noted the funding announcement did not address it

Market & Ratings

Market Analysis
Pros
- ✓Free tier (one slot, 20 intro requests a month) lets employers test before paying
- ✓Two-sided design means candidates have also opted in before any introduction
- ✓Traction with known startups such as Ramp, Attio and Multiverse, and 25,000+ interviews arranged
- ✓Founders with a prior HR-tech exit (Omnipresent, acquired by Deel)
Cons
- ✗Matching accuracy complaints: users report roles that don't match stated preferences and listings that look weeks out of date (Paraform review)
- ✗Hire conversion is undisclosed; The Next Web notes the 25,000-interviews figure says nothing about how many became hires
- ✗Pricing has shifted: earlier third-party reviews describe a 10% success fee, while the current page lists $199 per slot per month and leaves the hiring-fee FAQ unclear
- ✗Reports of inconsistent support and account turnover during searches (Paraform review)

Employers pay per slot, meaning one open role, at $199 per slot per month billed annually (the page says annual billing saves $600 per slot per year), with 50 intro requests per slot; a free tier covers one slot and 20 intros a month, and Scale Jill offers custom volume pricing. Candidates never pay. Earlier third-party reviews (May 2026) described a 10% first-year-salary success fee with a 90-day refund, but the current pricing page lists no percentage fee, so confirm in writing whether any hiring fee applies before signing.
