ACM SIGGRAPH's Asian flagship comes to Tokyo — computer graphics, generative AI and interactive techniques
About This Event
SIGGRAPH Asia 2027 is ACM SIGGRAPH's Asian flagship conference on computer graphics and interactive techniques, held 30 November to 3 December 2027 at the Tokyo International Forum in Tokyo, Japan. Organisers expect around 10,000 participants, including roughly 2,400 attendees from outside Japan. The conference runs a peer-reviewed Technical Papers programme alongside Art Papers, Technical Communications and Posters, and pairs that research core with production-facing programmes: the Computer Animation Festival, Real-Time Live!, Emerging Technologies, XR, Games, Courses, Workshops, the Art Gallery, the Educator's Forum and Birds of a Feather sessions. Machine learning and generative methods for image, video, geometry and animation have become a recurring thread across both the technical and production tracks, which is what has made a computer-graphics conference directly relevant to enterprise media, simulation and synthetic-data teams.

Why Attend
For a CTO in media, gaming, automotive, industrial simulation or any business building 3D or synthetic-content pipelines, SIGGRAPH Asia is where the underlying research lands roughly 12 to 24 months before it appears in a shipping product. Technical Papers give you the methods; Real-Time Live! and Emerging Technologies show working implementations you can judge with your own eyes instead of through a vendor demo reel; and the Computer Animation Festival and Art Gallery show what studios are actually shipping today. Tokyo also puts you in front of the Japanese games, animation and consumer-electronics ecosystem in a single trip that would otherwise take several, and the Courses programme is a practical way to upskill a rendering or graphics team without hiring.

What Makes This Unique
- ★ACM SIGGRAPH's Asian flagship: the same peer-review bar as the North American SIGGRAPH, held in the region where much of the world's animation, games and consumer-graphics production is based
- ★Real-Time Live! is a live, unedited demo session — implementations run in front of the audience rather than being shown as a pre-rendered reel
- ★Held at the Tokyo International Forum with organisers projecting around 10,000 attendees, roughly 2,400 of them travelling from outside Japan
- ★Pairs a peer-reviewed research track with production programmes (Computer Animation Festival, Art Gallery, Games, XR), putting new methods and shipped practice in the same building
