ICRA 2030 — IEEE International Conference on Robotics and Automation
by IEEE Robotics and Automation Society (RAS)
IEEE's flagship robotics and automation conference comes to Thailand for the first time
About This Event
ICRA 2030, the IEEE International Conference on Robotics and Automation, takes place 13-17 June 2030 at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center (QSNCC) in Bangkok, Thailand. It is the flagship annual conference of the IEEE Robotics and Automation Society, a series running since 1984, and this is the first edition held in Thailand. Thailand won the hosting rights in a bid led by the Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau with Mahidol University's Faculty of Engineering, the IEEE RAS Thailand Chapter and the IEEE Thailand Section; the win was announced in Bangkok on 21 July 2026. Organisers expect about 10,000 delegates, roughly 8,000 of them from outside Thailand. The conference covers robotics, artificial intelligence and automation, with technology demonstrations, research collaboration, business matchmaking and investment activity alongside the technical programme. The call for papers, registration fees and organising committee have not been published yet.

Why Attend
If you run automation, manufacturing or robotics R&D in Southeast Asia, ICRA 2030 puts the robotics research community within a short flight. You can see where robot learning and physical AI stand before you commit capital, recruit from a pool of about 10,000 researchers and engineers, and meet sensor, semiconductor and software suppliers in one place. The organisers built business matchmaking and investment activity into the programme, so a vendor scouting or partnership trip has a clear agenda. Expect the call for papers around a year ahead, which will tell you which research areas the programme favours.
Event Features
- ✓Technical programme in robotics, artificial intelligence and automation (call for papers not yet published)
- ✓Technology demonstrations
- ✓Business matchmaking and investment sessions
- ✓Research collaboration programme linking academic and industry teams
What Makes This Unique
- ★Flagship conference of the IEEE Robotics and Automation Society, held annually since 1984
- ★First ICRA ever held in Thailand, won by a national bid led by the Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau after an earlier bid failed
- ★About 10,000 delegates expected, roughly 8,000 of them international
- ★Host partners include Mahidol University's Faculty of Engineering and the Thailand Medical Robotics and AI Association, so medical robotics has a local anchor
