Autonomize AI is an agentic AI platform for health plans and healthcare enterprises that automates administrative clinical work such as prior authorization, utilization management, claims review and appeals. Its Context AI layer, generally available since October 1, 2026, gives every agent the same governed clinical and policy knowledge.

Autonomize AI is an Austin, Texas company founded in 2022 by Ganesh Padmanabhan and Kris Nair that sells an intelligence platform for healthcare payers and providers. Version 3 of the platform, launched April 16, 2026, has four parts: AI Studio, a visual builder where teams compose agent workflows from models, prompts, tools, memory modules and human checkpoints; an AI Marketplace of prebuilt agents for prior authorization, utilization management, care management, claims, quality and pharmacy; a Command Center for monitoring with lifecycle tracing and audit trails on every decision; and a Knowledge Center. On October 1, 2026 the company made Autonomize Context AI generally available. It separates institutional knowledge from the models and agents that use it, with two layers: a Context Graph of more than 10 million clinically reviewed concepts drawn from healthcare ontologies and standards, and customer-controlled Enterprise Extensions that model a plan's own policies, formularies, provider networks and PHI. Models are treated as interchangeable, so a plan can swap a large or small model without rebuilding its rules. The platform ships more than 50 connectors for EHRs, claims systems and FHIR APIs, runs on Azure, and is sold through the Azure Marketplace and, for its fraud, waste and abuse app, the ServiceNow Store. The company says it is live at three of the five largest US health enterprises and names Cigna, Elevance Health and Molina Healthcare as customers. It raised a $28 million Series A in June 2025 led by Valtruis, The Cigna Group Ventures and Tau Ventures, for $32 million in total.

Ideal Buyer

A health plan's CIO or VP of clinical operations who needs to automate prior authorization and utilization review without each agent interpreting medical policy differently.

Key Benefit

Faster clinical reviews and coverage decisions, with every agent drawing on one governed, auditable set of policies and clinical concepts.

Key Features

  • ✓
    Autonomize Context AI

A shared context layer that defines clinical terminology, operational rules and policies once, then reuses them across every agent so decisions stay consistent.

  • ✓
    Context Graph

More than 10 million clinically reviewed concepts from healthcare ontologies and standards give agents a grounded medical vocabulary out of the box.

  • ✓
    Enterprise Extensions

Customer-controlled layers that model a plan's own policies, formularies and provider networks, keeping proprietary knowledge out of the model vendor's hands.

  • ✓
    AI Studio

A visual workflow builder for composing agents from models, prompts, tools, memory and human checkpoints without losing technical control.

  • ✓
    AI Marketplace

More than 160 prebuilt agents and workflows for prior authorization, claims, care management and pharmacy shorten deployment from months to days.

  • ✓
    Command Center

Real-time business and technical KPIs with full decision tracing and audit trails, which payers need for regulatory review of automated determinations.

  • ✓
    Healthcare connectors

Over 50 prebuilt connectors for EHRs, claims systems and FHIR APIs reduce custom integration work with core payer systems.

Use Cases

  • •
    Prior authorization automation

Agents summarize the chart, match it against coverage policy and route the case, which the company says cuts clinical review time by up to 55%.

  • •
    Fraud, waste and abuse review

The ServiceNow Store app scores claims for coding issues and billing anomalies and gives reviewers a prioritized queue with reasoning, evidence and policy citations.

  • •
    Care gap and HEDIS analysis

Copilots read medical records to find open care gaps, helping quality teams improve measure performance without manual chart abstraction.

  • •
    Appeals and grievances

Agents assemble the case history and applicable policy so staff can decide appeals faster and with a consistent, documented rationale.
