Web Summit's North American edition, 20,000+ attendees on the Vancouver waterfront
About This Event
Web Summit Vancouver 2027 runs 25-28 May 2027 at the Vancouver Convention Centre in Vancouver, British Columbia, the third edition of Web Summit's North American event under a three-year agreement with the city. The 2026 edition drew 20,235 attendees from more than 100 countries — up nearly 30 percent on 2025 — including 768 investors and close to 1,200 startups exhibiting in AI and machine learning, SaaS, health tech, wellness and fintech. The programme is built around Centre Stage and a set of content tracks, plus structured side programmes: PITCH, the marquee startup competition run with KPMG; a startup showcase with rotating exhibiting cohorts; Speed Networking meet-and-match sessions; Night Summit evening events across the city; and dedicated investor, developer, Women in Tech and Indigenous attendee programmes. Past editions have featured speakers including Sam Altman and Geoffrey Hinton.

Why Attend
For a corporate development, innovation or CTO function, four days in Vancouver is the most efficient way to see the North American early-stage market in one pass: nearly 1,200 startups exhibiting, 768 investors circulating, and a matching system that turns that into booked meetings rather than a stand crawl. It is a scouting and partnership trip, not a technical education one — the value is in the deal flow, the hiring conversations and the read you get on where venture money is actually moving in AI, fintech and health tech this year.

What Makes This Unique
- ★The largest tech conference in North America by attendee count outside the US, and the only Web Summit edition on the continent — 20,235 attendees from 100+ countries in 2026
- ★Investor density is the point: 768 investors attended in 2026 against roughly 1,200 exhibiting startups, a ratio most conferences cannot match
- ★PITCH, run with KPMG, is a genuine competition rather than a demo hour — the 2026 winner was a six-month-old climate startup, Cura Climate
- ★Structured matching — Speed Networking, mentor hours and the meetups system — means meetings are scheduled through the app rather than left to chance
- ★Runs dedicated Women in Tech and Indigenous Attendee programmes alongside the main track, and a hackathon open to non-technical attendees debuted in 2026
