Okta's annual identity conference, rebuilt around securing AI agents
About This Event
Oktane 2026 is Okta's annual identity conference, running 22-24 September 2026 at Caesars Forum in Las Vegas with a free Oktane Digital livestream alongside it. The 2026 programme is built around a single thesis - that autonomous AI agents break the assumptions enterprise identity was designed on - and Okta's own keynote line is "Agents change everything. See how Okta secures AI." Three days cover keynotes, technical breakouts, an expo hall and free hands-on labs, including dedicated Okta for AI Agents and Auth0 for AI Agents lab tracks. Attendees can sit performance-based Okta Certified Professional, Okta Certified Administrator and Auth0 Certified Developer exams on site. It is the launch venue for Okta's agentic-identity roadmap, which shipped Okta for AI Agents to general availability on 30 April 2026 with agent discovery, an Agent Gateway, shadow-agent detection and a universal-logout kill switch.

Why Attend
If your organisation is about to hand AI agents credentials to real systems, this is the event where the vendor holding those credentials explains how it intends to govern them. A CISO or IAM lead leaves with a working position on agent discovery, authorisation, shadow-agent detection and instant revocation, backed by lab time rather than slideware. Workforce identity and customer identity are covered in one trip, engineers can certify on site for $149-$199, and if travel is not approved the keynotes stream free.

What Makes This Unique
- ★The whole 2026 programme is pointed at one problem - authorising and governing autonomous AI agents - rather than a general identity agenda, and it is taught off a product line Okta shipped to GA in April 2026 rather than a roadmap slide.
- ★Hands-on labs are free in both instructor-led and self-guided formats, with named 'Okta for AI Agents' and 'Auth0 for AI Agents' tracks, so practitioners leave having configured something rather than having watched a demo.
- ★Three performance-based certifications are sat on site (Okta Certified Professional, Okta Certified Administrator, Auth0 Certified Developer) at $149 early-bird / $199, bundled with a prep workshop, a free second-attempt voucher and 50% off next year's registration.
- ★Covers workforce identity (Okta) and customer identity (Auth0) in the same event - most identity conferences do one or the other, so a team normally has to split its travel budget across two.
- ★Oktane Digital streams the keynotes free and keeps an on-demand library afterwards, so the strategic content is available without a $899 pass or a Las Vegas flight.
- ★Unusually open pricing for a vendor conference at this scale: 20% off for .gov/.edu/.mil addresses, 10-25% group discounts, and up to five free Standard passes for registered nonprofits.
