About This Event
Gartner Cybersecurity & Risk Management Summit 2027 is a two-day conference for security and risk leaders, held 15-16 March 2027 at ICC Sydney in Sydney, Australia. It was previously called the Gartner Security & Risk Management Summit, and the 2026 edition ran at the same venue on 16-17 March 2026. The 2027 programme lists three main tracks. AI Security and Governance covers agent governance, AI-related threats and emerging regulation. Identity Security covers workforce, privileged and machine identities. Cyber Resilience covers data security governance and protecting sensitive data. Post-quantum security, third-party risk, security leadership and cloud and data security are also on the agenda. Sessions are led by Gartner analysts including Deepti Gopal, Richard Addiscott, Craig Lawson and Luke Ellery, and CISOs and CROs can apply for the separate CISO Circle programme.

Why Attend
A CISO in Australia or New Zealand who has to write the policy for AI agents, the identities they run under and the regulators watching them can work through all three here in two days. The AI security track covers agent governance and new regulation, and the identity track covers machine identities. The analyst one-on-one is a chance to test a programme design against what Gartner sees in other clients. The CISO Circle also gives board-facing leaders a room of peers to compare risk appetite and reporting.

What Makes This Unique
- ★AI security is a named track that covers governing AI agents, not only defending against AI-assisted attacks
- ★Machine identities sit in the identity track next to workforce and privileged access, which matters once agents hold credentials
- ★The largest Gartner security event in Australia, so the threat and regulatory framing is local to ANZ
- ★CISO Circle is a separate, application-only programme for CISOs and CROs
