CPAIOR 2027 — 24th International Conference on the Integration of Constraint Programming, Artificial Intelligence and Operations Research
by CPAIOR conference series (local organization led by LAAS-CNRS and ONERA)
The research conference where constraint programming, machine learning and operations research meet, in Toulouse in June 2027.
About This Event
CPAIOR 2027 is the 24th International Conference on the Integration of Constraint Programming, Artificial Intelligence and Operations Research, held June 1-4, 2027 in Toulouse, France. It is the 28th meeting of a series that began as a workshop. A Master Class opens the event on June 1, followed by three days of the main conference from June 2 to 4. The call for papers covers combining machine learning with optimization (neurally guided solving, prediction-plus-optimization, LLMs for modeling and solving), relaxation and inference methods, search strategies, hybrid MIP/CP/SAT solving and decision-making under uncertainty. Christian Artigues of LAAS-CNRS chairs the program and Stéphanie Roussel of ONERA chairs the conference. The organizing committee includes Airbus, ANITI, INRAE, IRIT, ENAC and ISAE-Supaéro.

Topics & Focus Areas
Who Should Attend
- ✓Operations research scientists
- ✓Machine learning researchers working on optimization
- ✓Constraint programming and SAT solver developers
- ✓Applied optimization teams in aerospace, logistics and manufacturing
- ✓PhD students and postdocs
- ✓Decision-science and planning engineers
Why Attend
If you run planning, scheduling, routing or capacity optimization, this is where the people building the next generation of solvers present their work, including the current wave of methods that let ML models and LLMs guide or formulate optimization problems. A head of decision science or an operations-research lead can judge which hybrid ML-plus-solver techniques are ready for production, and can recruit PhD-level optimization talent. Toulouse adds direct contact with Airbus, ONERA and ANITI teams who apply these methods to aerospace and transport problems.
Event Features
- ✓Master Class day, Tuesday June 1, 2027
- ✓Main conference June 2-4, 2027
- ✓CFP area: machine learning and optimization integration, including neurally guided solving, prediction-plus-optimization and LLMs for modeling and solving
- ✓CFP area: relaxation and inference (constraint propagation, cutting planes, conic optimization, decision diagrams, dynamic programming)
- ✓CFP area: search strategies (branch-and-bound, column generation and Benders decomposition, learning-based heuristics)
- ✓CFP area: integrated MIP/CP/SAT methods, distributed solving and portfolio approaches
- ✓CFP area: CP/AI/OR techniques for decision-making under uncertainty, plus innovative models and applications
- ✓Paper types: long papers (15 pages), short papers (8 pages) and 1-2 page extended abstracts for the poster session
What Makes This Unique
- ★One of the few venues dedicated specifically to combining ML, constraint programming and mathematical optimization, the methods behind scheduling, routing and planning systems
- ★The organizing committee includes Airbus, ONERA, ANITI (Toulouse's AI institute) and INRAE, so the Toulouse edition sits inside an active industrial optimization community
- ★Opens with a dedicated Master Class day (June 1, 2027) before the main conference
- ★Regular papers go through a rebuttal phase and appear in the LNCS proceedings volume; 1-2 page extended abstracts get a poster slot
