Tasklet

Cloud AI agents that run recurring business work from plain-English instructions, with no flowchart to build
Tasklet is a cloud platform for delegating recurring business work to AI agents, aimed at operations, sales and finance teams that want automation without building a workflow graph. You describe the job in plain English, and the agent connects to your tools and runs on triggers.
Tasklet is a hosted AI agent platform from the team behind the Shortwave email client, led by CEO Andrew Lee, a Firebase co-founder, and Jonny Dimond, who was on Firebase's early team and later led Google Cloud Firestore technically. Shortwave announced Tasklet in beta on October 9, 2025 as a standalone automation product. Instead of asking users to draw a flowchart as Zapier and n8n do, Tasklet takes text instructions and lets the model decide each step, which the founder argues copes better with edge cases. That claim comes from the company and has not been independently tested. Agents start on a schedule, an email, a Slack message, a CRM row or a webhook. They reach software through prebuilt integrations such as Salesforce, HubSpot, Zendesk, Jira, QuickBooks and Stripe, through any MCP server or HTTP API, and through a cloud browser for systems with no API. Each agent runs in its own isolated cloud environment with per-agent tool permissions, and users choose which actions need human approval. Four intelligence levels map to different models, from GPT-5.6 Luna at Basic to Claude Fable 5 at Genius, and that choice drives cost. Tasklet raised $20M in April 2026 at a $175M post-money valuation, according to Sacra, then a $13M pre-Series A bridge reported on July 31, 2026, led by Union Square Ventures and Lightspeed. Sacra estimates about $10M ARR in May 2026, although the same page also cites a $5M base, and describes the customer base as individuals, power users and small teams, with enterprise sales not yet started. The vendor's site shows logos including Accenture, Airtable and Sequoia Capital. The closest comparisons are Lindy and Relevance AI among agent builders and Zapier, Make and n8n among workflow tools.
An operations or revenue-operations lead at a small or mid-sized company who has repetitive cross-app work, no engineer free to build automations, and can tolerate variable monthly usage costs.
Recurring work across CRM, email, support and finance tools runs on triggers from a written instruction, with approval steps where you want them and no workflow graph to maintain.

Key Features
- ✓Plain-English agent setup
You describe the job in text and the agent works out the connections and steps, so nobody has to build or maintain a flowchart.
- ✓Event and schedule triggers
Agents start on a schedule, new email, Slack message, CRM row or webhook, which lets them handle recurring work without someone launching each run.
- ✓Cloud browser for agents
Agents can operate web apps through a browser, which reaches supplier portals and other systems that offer no API, though browser use raises credit consumption.
- ✓MCP and custom API connections
Besides prebuilt integrations, agents can use any MCP server or HTTP API, including private internal APIs, so internal systems stay within reach.
- ✓Per-agent permissions and approvals
Each agent runs in an isolated environment with its own tool permissions, and teams decide which actions require human sign-off before they execute.
- ✓Selectable intelligence levels
Each thread picks a level from Basic to Genius, mapped to specific GPT and Claude models, which lets teams trade reasoning depth against credit cost.
- ✓Organization-wide credit pool
Billing is per organization with unlimited members sharing one pool, and admins can view usage and cap credits for individual agents.
Capabilities
Use Cases
- •Lead enrichment and CRM updates
A new CRM row triggers an agent that researches the lead, fills in the record and drafts a reply for a rep to review.
- •Support ticket routing
An agent watches Zendesk for engineering issues and creates matching Linear issues, which saves support staff from copying tickets between systems by hand.
- •Payout reconciliation
A scheduled agent compares Stripe payouts against QuickBooks entries and flags mismatches, so finance staff only review the exceptions it surfaces each cycle.
- •Executive meeting briefs
Before each calendar event, an agent gathers context from connected tools and sends a prep brief, so executives walk in without assembling notes themselves.
Ideal For
Best For
- ✓Sales teams enriching leads, updating the CRM and drafting replies from inbound triggers
- ✓Operations teams syncing support tickets from Zendesk into Linear or Jira
- ✓Finance teams matching Stripe payouts against QuickBooks and flagging mismatches
- ✓Companies that need to automate a supplier portal or other system with no API through a browser agent
Not Ideal For
- ✗Budget-bound or high-volume operations that need a known monthly bill, because Tasklet publishes no per-task credit rate and costs vary by run
- ✗Customer support teams that need a ticket interface, historical simulation and resolution tracking, which Tasklet does not include
- ✗Regulated enterprises that require SSO or completed GDPR compliance before routing sensitive data, since neither is confirmed on Tasklet's pages
Deployment
Market Analysis
Pros
- ✓Setup needs no workflow graph, which lowers the barrier for non-engineering teams
- ✓Unlimited team members at no added cost, with one shared credit pool and per-agent limits
- ✓Low entry price of $25 a month, with one-time credits available above the plan allowance
- ✓Connects to private APIs and MCP servers, and reaches API-less systems through a browser
Cons
- ✗Costs are hard to forecast: no per-task rate is published and the same workflow can consume different credit amounts, per a competitor's review that should be read with that bias in mind
- ✗Monthly credits expire each billing cycle, and automations pause when the balance reaches zero
- ✗Sacra lists SSO, audit trails and organization-level cost controls among enterprise features not generally available, and Tasklet's homepage does not mention SSO
- ✗Depends on third-party models, and Sacra names reliance on Anthropic's pricing and terms as a risk
- ✗Independent user evidence is thin: Product Hunt shows one review and the October 2025 Show HN thread drew three comments

Prices checked on Tasklet's pricing page on November 3, 2026. Billing is by credits per organization with unlimited team members. Monthly plans give 400 credits per dollar and one-time top-ups give 320, valid one year. Monthly credits do not roll over, no per-task rate is published, and new requests and automations pause at zero credits. Intelligence level, task complexity, browser use and run frequency drive consumption, so run a real workflow before forecasting a budget.
