Skylar AI is ScienceLogic's AI layer over its observability and IT operations platform, sold alongside Skylar One (the renamed SL1 monitoring platform), Skylar Automation and Skylar Compliance. Version 2.5, announced 12 August 2026 and building on the Skylar One 'Kyoto' release, is deliberately a deployment and governance release rather than a feature release. It makes the AI capabilities available across sovereign cloud, on-premises and secure cloud environments for organisations with strict security, sovereignty and compliance requirements — government and heavily regulated sectors that could not previously adopt the AI tier at all. It also adds AI governance controls that matter once agents are running unattended: organisations can monitor internal Skylar AI agents, track token usage over time, and enable or disable individual agents as operational requirements change. The release further improves event matching and severity assignment, tightens integration with Skylar One alerts, ServiceNow and Microsoft Teams, and reduces execution time.
