AI workflows for insurance brokerages: quote comparison, policy checking, proposals and certificates wired into your agency management system
Outmarket AI is an AI platform for insurance agencies and brokers that automates document-heavy work such as quote comparison, policy checking, loss run analysis, proposals and certificates of insurance. It is built for brokerage operations and producer teams that want to cut manual rekeying while staying inside Applied Epic, AMS360 or HawkSoft.
Outmarket AI is a San Francisco company founded by Vishal Sankhla (CEO), previously VP of Product at life insurer Ethos with earlier roles at Uber and Meta, and Anshu Jain (CTO), formerly of IBM Watson, Meta and Ethos. It started in late 2023, raised a $4.7 million seed led by Fika Ventures, a $17 million Series A led by Permanent Capital Ventures in May 2026, and a $34.5 million Series B led by SignalFire in September 2026 at a reported $335 million valuation. The platform ingests documents from email, PDFs, agency management systems and file stores, and runs insurance-specific AI workflows across commercial lines, employee benefits, personal lines and specialty business. Commercial workflows include quote comparison, coverage gap analysis, contract requirements verification, tower analysis, a Proposal Builder, loss run analysis, policy review, claim denial challenges, ACORD application filling, BOR letters and, as of September 2026, a Certificate Hub that reads a contract's insurance requirements, compares them against in-force policies and generates completed ACORD certificates. A custom workflow builder, a document Vault and a searchable data and insights layer sit alongside. It integrates with Applied Epic, AMS360, HawkSoft, Nexsure and ImageRight plus Outlook, Gmail, SharePoint, OneDrive and Google Drive, runs single-tenant with zero data retention and is SOC 2 Type II certified. Outmarket reports more than 300 agency customers, over 10,000 users, more than a quarter of the US top 100 agencies, 5x year-over-year ARR growth and 12-15 hours saved per person per week; named users include Houchens Insurance Group and Moody Insurance. It plans to extend to carriers later in 2026.
The COO or head of operations at a mid-sized to large independent insurance brokerage whose account managers spend hours rekeying quotes, policies and loss runs between carriers and the agency management system.
Vendor-reported savings of 12-15 hours per person per week on quote comparisons, policy checks and proposals, without leaving Applied Epic, AMS360 or HawkSoft.

Extracts terms from carrier quotes side by side and flags coverage gaps, so producers present options faster and with fewer missed exclusions.
- ✓Policy check
Compares issued policies against quotes and binders to catch discrepancies, which the vendor says cuts errors and omissions by up to 65%.
- ✓Proposal Builder
Generates new business and renewal client proposals from extracted data; the vendor says it produces thousands of proposals monthly across customers.
- ✓Certificate Hub
Reads contract insurance requirements, compares them against in-force policies, flags gaps and generates completed ACORD certificates with holders and endorsements.
- ✓Agency management system integrations
Connects to Applied Epic, AMS360, HawkSoft, Nexsure and ImageRight plus Outlook, Gmail and SharePoint, so results flow into existing systems without rekeying.
- ✓Loss run analysis
Pulls claims data out of carrier loss run documents for analysis, saving manual extraction before renewals and marketing submissions.
- ✓Custom workflow builder
Lets agencies define their own document workflows on top of the platform for processes the prebuilt modules do not cover.
Capabilities
Use Cases
- •Commercial renewal marketing
Compare a stack of carrier quotes, surface coverage gaps and produce a client-ready proposal in a fraction of the manual time.
- •Errors and omissions reduction
Automatically check every issued policy against the quote and binder so discrepancies are caught before they become an E&O claim.
- •Certificate of insurance requests
Turn a client's vendor contract into a compliant ACORD certificate by matching its insurance requirements against current policies automatically.
- •Benefits renewal benchmarking
Employee benefits teams extract plan data, benchmark renewals and generate comparison proposals without building spreadsheets by hand.
Ideal For
Best For
- ✓Commercial lines account managers comparing carrier quotes and building client proposals
- ✓Brokerages checking issued policies against binders and quotes to reduce errors and omissions exposure
- ✓Agencies issuing high volumes of certificates of insurance against contract requirements
- ✓Employee benefits teams handling renewals, benchmarking and proposal generation
Not Ideal For
- ✗Insurance carriers and underwriters today: the product targets agencies and brokers, and carrier-side tooling is only planned for later in 2026
- ✗Agencies on an agency management system outside its integration list (Applied Epic, AMS360, HawkSoft, Nexsure, ImageRight), which lose the main rekeying benefit
- ✗Small agencies wanting to compare published prices before a sales call, because Outmarket lists no pricing

Market Analysis
Pros
- ✓Fast adoption: 300+ agencies including more than a quarter of the US top 100 within about 14 months of product launch
- ✓Purpose-built for insurance documents and terminology rather than a general-purpose assistant
- ✓Integrates with Applied Epic, AMS360, HawkSoft and Nexsure, avoiding a separate system of record
- ✓SOC 2 Type II, single-tenant and zero data retention, which matters for client PII
Cons
- ✗No published pricing, and reported $1M+ contracts suggest it is priced for larger brokerages
- ✗Time-saving and error-reduction figures are vendor-reported, with no independent measurement found
- ✗Carrier and underwriting workflows are not yet available, so it covers only the agency side of the transaction
- ✗Few independent user reviews are accessible yet; most testimonials come from the vendor's own site

Contact for pricing
- ✓Commercial, benefits and personal lines workflows

No list pricing is published; access is sold through a demo and sales process. The metering unit (seats, agencies or document volume) is not disclosed.
