Mate Security is an AI-native security operations (agentic SOC) platform. It builds a security context graph of each organisation's assets, users, data and business processes, then uses AI agents to triage alerts, investigate incidents, hunt threats, build detections and run supervised response. Mate Security is a Tel Aviv-based company founded in 2025 by former Wiz and Microsoft staff and led by CEO and co-founder Asaf Wiener. It emerged from stealth in late 2025 with an oversubscribed $15.5 million seed round. On 29 July 2026 it announced a $35 million Series A led by Canaan Partners, with Insight Partners, Team8 and M12 (Microsoft's venture fund) also investing, taking total funding above $50 million. The product is an agentic security operations platform built around a patent-pending Security Context Graph. The company says that within about 24 hours of connecting data sources, the platform models an organisation's users, assets, policies, business processes, past investigations and approved activity. An AI agent can then judge a security event against how the business actually operates, for example recognising that a burst of failed logins is a scheduled drill rather than an attack. Specialised agents handle alert triage and investigation, detection engineering, threat hunting and supervised incident response. They run as a closed loop the company calls Continuous Detection, Continuous Response, in which closed investigations are turned into new detections. Instead of rigid playbooks, customers steer agents with 'gamebooks'. The platform is also open: Mate's own agents, third-party vendor agents and customers' in-house agents can run on a shared governance layer with unified permissions under a least-agency design. It connects to SIEMs and data lakes such as Splunk and Microsoft Sentinel, and to CrowdStrike, Okta, ServiceNow and Slack, without requiring data to be centralised. Customers listed on its website include Bridgewater Associates, FitchGroup, AlphaSense, Lead Bank, Merlin Entertainments, monday.com and Freshworks. The company reports more than 500% growth since the third quarter of 2025. It competes in a crowded AI SOC market with vendors such as Dropzone AI, Prophet Security, 7AI and Torq.
