Komodor Agentic Operations Platform

Agentic operations platform for SRE and platform teams: 50+ prebuilt Kubernetes, cloud and cost agents plus an SDK to run your own agents under shared governance
Komodor Agentic Operations Platform (KAOP) is a platform for SRE, DevOps and platform teams that runs AI agents on production operations work such as incident investigation, change review and cost optimisation. It ships 50+ prebuilt specialist agents and lets teams build or import their own under the same access controls, guardrails, spend limits and audit trail.
Komodor built its business on Kubernetes troubleshooting and later added Klaudia, an AI SRE that investigates incidents across clusters. In March 2026 it turned Klaudia into a multi-agent system: workflow agents handle detection, investigation and remediation and call subject-matter agents for Kubernetes, AWS services, GPUs and deployment tools, with customers able to plug in their own tools through MCP or an OpenAPI spec. A July 2026 release added Klaudia Memory, which reuses root causes from past investigations and can be invoked from Slack, Microsoft Teams, VS Code, Claude Code and Cursor. On September 16, 2026 Komodor launched the Agentic Operations Platform, which widens the product from one AI SRE into a place to run any operations agent. It has three parts: a control plane that Komodor operates, an SDK for writing agents, and workers that run agents on Komodor's infrastructure or inside the customer's own network. Prebuilt workflows cover AI SRE (troubleshooting, alert intelligence, change intelligence, CI/CD health, production readiness) and cost optimisation for cloud, observability and Kubernetes spend. Teams can convert scripts and runbooks into agents, import agents from third-party frameworks, swap model providers, and shadow-test agent versions before promoting them. Every agent gets its own identity and permissions, reaches systems without handling credentials, and runs behind guardrails on inputs, tool calls and responses, with human approval for risky actions, spending limits and a full audit log. Komodor has raised $90 million and lists Cisco, Dell, Nebius and Prudential as customers.
A head of platform engineering or SRE running large Kubernetes estates who wants AI agents handling incident triage and cost work without each team wiring up its own ungoverned agent stack.
Prebuilt operations agents plus custom ones running under one set of permissions, approvals, spend caps and audit logs.

Key Features
- ✓50+ prebuilt specialist agents
Ready workflows for AI SRE, AI software operations and cost optimisation that teams can reconfigure by adding steps, changing routing or inserting their own agents.
- ✓Agent SDK and bring-your-own-agent
Build agents from Python scripts, Bash runbooks or existing skills, or import agents from third-party frameworks, so existing automation runs under the platform's controls.
- ✓Per-agent identity and credential-free access
Each agent has its own identity and permissions and reaches systems without handling credentials, which limits what a misbehaving agent can touch.
- ✓Guardrails, approvals and spend limits
Checks inputs, tool calls and model responses before an agent acts, pauses risky actions for human approval in Slack or Teams, and caps token budgets and steps per incident.
- ✓Shadow testing and gated promotion
Run new agent versions or models in shadow, compare them against the current version, and promote only after review, applying release discipline to agents.
- ✓Klaudia multi-agent investigation with memory
Workflow agents call Kubernetes, AWS, GPU and deployment specialists in parallel and reuse root causes from past incidents, aiming at resolution instead of telemetry summaries.
- ✓MCP server and MCP Gateway
Exposes Komodor to other tools via an MCP server and REST API, and lets teams publish their own internal tools to agents through an MCP Gateway.
Capabilities
Use Cases
- •Multi-domain incident investigation
When an outage spans Kubernetes, cloud networking and storage, parallel specialist agents investigate each layer and merge findings into one root-cause report for the on-call engineer.
- •Change intelligence and CI/CD health
Agents cross-reference CI/CD pipelines with recent code and configuration changes so a failure is linked to the deploy that caused it before anyone rolls back blindly.
- •Kubernetes and cloud cost reduction
Rightsizing and bin-packing agents tune resource allocation; Komodor says this cut cloud capacity costs by more than 30% at large technology customers.
- •Governing home-grown operations agents
A platform team imports agents other teams built on different frameworks and runs them under shared RBAC, approvals, spend limits and audit logs instead of leaving them ungoverned.
- •Database latency triage
Custom agents wired to database management tools work out whether latency comes from query performance or connection-pool exhaustion, an example early adopters built on the framework.
Ideal For
Best For
- ✓Kubernetes-heavy organisations that want AI-assisted root-cause analysis across clusters, cloud services, GPUs and networking
- ✓Platform teams that already have scripts and runbooks and want to turn them into governed agents instead of writing new ones from scratch
- ✓FinOps and platform teams targeting Kubernetes, cloud compute and observability spend with rightsizing agents
- ✓Enterprises that need human approval, per-agent identity and an audit trail before letting agents take mutating actions in production
- ✓Teams that want agents reachable from Slack, Microsoft Teams, VS Code, Claude Code or Cursor
Not Ideal For
- ✗Shops with little or no Kubernetes, since the prebuilt agents and the knowledge graph lean on Komodor's Kubernetes visibility
- ✗Organisations happy with the AI features bundled into their existing observability or incident tools; the ECI Research analyst flags 'good enough' bundled options as the main competitive threat
- ✗Small teams that want transparent self-serve pricing; Business and Enterprise plans are quote-only

Market Analysis
Pros
- ✓Covers both operations reliability and cost work from one platform, with 50+ agents ready on day one
- ✓Governance is built in: per-agent identity, approvals, spend caps, shadow testing and audit logs
- ✓Can run in the customer's own network and is model-agnostic, which suits regulated enterprises
- ✓Established customer base including Cisco, Dell, Nebius and Prudential
Cons
- ✗Strongly Kubernetes-centric; less value for estates that are mostly serverless or VM-based
- ✗The standalone platform has to beat AI features bundled into observability suites, which ECI Research names as the main risk
- ✗Performance claims such as up to 80% faster incident response come from vendor-supplied material without named methodology
- ✗No published prices for Business or Enterprise, and the agentic platform launched only in September 2026, so long-run production evidence is thin

Komodor has a free Individuals tier and a free trial, but Business and Enterprise prices are quote-only and no list price for the Agentic Operations Platform or Klaudia is published. Third-party pricing pages note possible minimum user or cluster commitments on higher tiers; ask how agent runs and model usage are metered, since the platform enforces per-incident token budgets.
