PLDI 2027 — ACM SIGPLAN Conference on Programming Language Design and Implementation
by ACM SIGPLAN
The compiler and language research that decides what your AI framework can exploit
About This Event
PLDI 2027 takes place 5-11 June 2027 at the Hyatt Regency Atlanta in Atlanta, Georgia, as part of the ACM Federated Computing Research Conference. PLDI is ACM SIGPLAN's flagship venue for programming language design and implementation, and it is where the compiler, code-generation and program-analysis work that machine-learning frameworks depend on gets published — tensor and ML compiler design, GPU kernel languages, program synthesis, and the static analysis and verification techniques now being applied to AI-generated code. The 2027 edition runs a two-round review with a formal author response period and a revision cycle, so accepted papers go through a revise-and-resubmit stage between the first notification in March and final acceptance in April 2027.

Who Should Attend
- ✓Chief Architect
- ✓Compiler engineer
- ✓ML systems engineer
- ✓Developer tools lead
- ✓Research scientist
- ✓PhD student
- ✓VP of Engineering
Why Attend
This is where a platform or developer-tools leader finds out what the next generation of compilers will make possible, one to two years before it lands in a release. The tensor-compiler and code-generation work presented here determines how much of your accelerator hardware your ML framework can actually reach, and the program-analysis and verification work is directly relevant to anyone deploying AI-generated code at scale and needing something stronger than review to trust it. Being co-located with ISCA means you can follow one question from the silicon through the compiler in a single week, which is not possible at any other event.
Event Features
- ✓Research Papers track — submission 12 November 2026, two-round review, revision cycle, camera-ready 15 April 2027
- ✓Author response period 16-18 February 2027, with author notification on 4 March 2027
- ✓Revision deadline 23 March 2027 and final acceptance notification 1 April 2027
- ✓FCRC 2027 co-location with PLDI, ISCA, PADS, STOC, SPAA and SIGMETRICS across the 5-11 June week
- ✓Shared FCRC plenary programme across the federated conferences
What Makes This Unique
- ★Two-round review with a formal author response period and a revision cycle — the first notification in March 2027 is not the final decision, unlike most single-round venues
- ★Co-located with ISCA and SIGMETRICS at FCRC 2027, putting language and compiler work in the same building as the hardware it targets
- ★The submission calendar is published more than a year ahead, from the November 2026 paper deadline through the April 2027 camera-ready
- ★SIGPLAN's flagship implementation venue, so the emphasis is on working systems and measured results rather than language theory alone
