About This Event

Web Summit Qatar 2027 runs 31 January to 3 February 2027 at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre, the fourth edition of Web Summit's Middle East event. The 2026 edition set the scale: 30,274 attendees from 127 countries, up 18% year on year, with 1,637 startups — 38% founded by women and 85% from outside Qatar — and close to 1,000 investors, a 27% increase on the previous year. Sixty-nine of those startups converted the event into $205 million in fresh capital, of which AI and machine learning companies took $125 million and data-centric startups $41 million. The 2027 programme is organised into seven summit tracks — AI, Marketing, Fintech, Government, New Energy, Sport and Health — alongside expert-led masterclasses, curated Meetup groups, the PITCH startup competition and the Night Summit networking programme.

Why Attend

This is a deal-making event more than a learning one, and Qatar underwrites that deliberately: the 2026 edition produced 77+ memoranda of understanding between Qatari entities and global technology companies, $2 billion in announced investment incentives, a 10-year residency programme for founders and executives, and fast-tracked company setup for attendees. For a corporate development or venture team, four days here is the most efficient look at Middle East and North Africa AI startups available anywhere — 1,637 of them last year, most from abroad — alongside the sovereign capital and the ministries that decide whether a deployment actually happens.

What Makes This Unique

  • 30,274 attendees from 127 countries in 2026, described by Al Jazeera as the largest gathering of international startups in the Middle East
  • 85% of the 1,637 startups came from outside Qatar and 38% were founded by women — a materially different founder mix from most Western tech conferences
  • Directly wired to Qatari state policy: 77+ MoUs between Qatari entities and global technology companies, $2 billion in announced investment incentives, a 10-year residency programme for founders and executives, and fast-tracked company setup for attendees
  • A measurable outcome rather than a vibe — 69 startups raised $205 million around the 2026 edition, with $125 million going to AI and ML companies
  • General Attendee tickets are currently half price at QR 1,995, which is cheap for an event of this size
