REFSQ 2027, the 33rd International Working Conference on Requirements Engineering: Foundation for Software Quality, runs 12-15 April 2027 at the FHNW Dreispitz Campus in Basel, Switzerland. Its theme is 'Aligning RE and AI Velocity': as AI-assisted code generation accelerates implementation, the organisers argue the bottleneck moves upstream, warning that 'when code can be produced quickly, the risk is no longer slow implementation but building the wrong system faster.' The central question posed to the community is how requirements processes, tools and practices can keep pace with faster implementation while staying aligned to stakeholder needs. REFSQ has run since 1994 and is the leading European conference series on requirements engineering. It is deliberately a working conference: interaction is a defining feature, with fruitful discussion among participants actively promoted rather than back-to-back paper readings.
