Why Attend

HICSS is where the academic research on how organizations actually adopt AI gets presented first. A CIO, chief data officer or head of AI governance can sit in on minitracks covering agentic AI for business decisions, how to evaluate AI systems, explainability, and the human roles inside AI-based services, then talk directly with the researchers behind the studies. It suits leaders who want evidence on adoption, risk and decision quality rather than vendor roadmaps, and it is a useful recruiting ground for PhD-level analytics talent.

Event Features

  • ✓Decision Analytics and Service Science track
  • ✓Data Science, Agentic AI, and Machine Learning to Support Business Decisions minitrack
  • ✓Explainable Artificial Intelligence (XAI) minitrack
  • ✓AI System Evaluation minitrack
  • ✓Multimodal Data and Large Language Model (LLM) for Decision Support minitrack
  • ✓Human-Guided, Interactive AI-driven Decision Intelligence minitrack
  • ✓Fintech Innovations: AI, Analytics, and the Future of Financial Services minitrack
  • ✓Doctoral Consortium and Junior Faculty Consortium

What Makes This Unique

  • ★Every session is built from peer-reviewed papers, grouped into minitracks that run their own acceptance and revision rounds.
  • ★Microsoft Academic (2021) ranked HICSS first in citations among information systems and business conferences, and its proceedings have been free to read since 2017.
  • ★Covers the organizational side of AI (governance, human roles in AI services, AI in digital government and healthcare) that most ML venues leave out.
  • ★Has an Electric Energy Systems track and a Digital Government track alongside the AI work, so infrastructure and public-sector questions share one program.
