EuroSys 2027 — European Conference on Computer Systems
by ACM SIGOPS Europe (EuroSys)
Europe's premier computer systems conference — the infrastructure layer under enterprise AI
About This Event
EuroSys 2027, the European Conference on Computer Systems, takes place 19-23 April 2027 in Rabat, Morocco — the first time the conference has been held on the African continent. EuroSys is the premier international forum for research on computer systems, CORE A and CCF A ranked, and its 2027 call spans operating systems, distributed systems, cloud computing, storage, AI and machine learning systems, security, databases, virtualisation and emerging hardware including quantum computing. It runs a two-cycle review model: a spring cycle that notified authors in August 2026, and a fall cycle with abstracts due 17 September 2026 and papers on 24 September 2026, notifying on 29 January 2027. Papers are double-blind, capped at twelve pages, limited to three submissions per author per cycle, and any use of AI tools in preparing a submission must be disclosed.

Topics & Focus Areas
Who Should Attend
- ✓VP of Infrastructure / Head of Platform Engineering
- ✓Cloud and distributed systems architects
- ✓ML infrastructure and AI platform leads
- ✓Site reliability and performance engineering leaders
- ✓Database and storage engineering leaders
- ✓Systems security leaders
- ✓Systems researchers and academics
Why Attend
The compute bill is now the AI strategy, and the techniques that cut it — inference scheduling, memory disaggregation, storage tiering, serverless placement — are published at EuroSys years before they appear in a cloud provider's release notes. An infrastructure or platform executive attends to see which of those are real, to pressure-test their own architecture against the people who designed the primitives, and to recruit: this edition, in Rabat, is also the most direct route into North African and European systems research groups that the US conference circuit never puts in front of them.
Event Features
- ✓Fall review cycle — abstracts 17 September 2026, papers 24 September 2026
- ✓Spring review cycle notifications and camera-ready already complete for the 2027 programme
- ✓Topic area: AI and machine learning systems
- ✓Topic area: cloud computing, operating systems and distributed systems
- ✓Topic area: storage, databases and virtualization
- ✓Topic area: security and emerging hardware including quantum computing
- ✓Co-located EuroSys workshops (separate call for workshops)
- ✓ACM Open Access publication with subsidised APCs — $500 for members, $750 for non-members in 2027
What Makes This Unique
- ★CORE A and CCF A ranked — alongside SOSP and OSDI, one of the handful of venues where the systems ideas underneath every cloud platform are first published
- ★The AI/ML systems track is a first-class topic area, so the scheduling, memory and serving work that later becomes an inference-cost line item shows up here two to three years early
- ★Two review cycles a year rather than one annual deadline, which shortens the gap between a result and its publication and keeps the programme current
- ★EuroSys 2027 is the first edition held in Africa, opening the community to research groups and talent pools the US-centric systems conferences rarely reach
- ★Requires full disclosure of any AI-tool use in submissions — an unusually explicit research-integrity stance for a systems venue
