AI in Production 2027
by Jumping Rivers
A two-day practitioner conference in Newcastle on deploying, monitoring and running ML and LLM systems in production.
About This Event
AI in Production 2027 is a two-day conference for people who build, ship and maintain machine learning systems. It runs June 10-11, 2027 at The Catalyst on the Newcastle Helix site in Newcastle upon Tyne, UK. Jumping Rivers organises it, and 2027 is the second edition after the June 2026 launch. Day one is hands-on workshops: each ticket covers one morning and one afternoon session, plus lunch and an evening dinner and drinks reception. Day two is standard and lightning talks from practitioners. The 2027 call for speakers only accepts talks about systems in real use. Its themes are deployment and monitoring, observability and incident response, data pipelines, LLM and agent reliability (evaluation, guardrails, cost, latency), fine-tuning and RAG in live products, and responsible AI governance. Abstracts are due January 29, 2027.

Topics & Focus Areas
Who Should Attend
- ✓Data scientists
- ✓ML and data engineers
- ✓MLOps and platform engineers
- ✓Researchers moving work into production
- ✓Data and AI team leads
- ✓Heads of data science
Why Attend
This is the cheapest way to send an ML platform team to hear how other organisations actually run models, LLMs and agents in production: what they monitor, how they evaluate, where costs and latency bit them, and how they handle governance. Leads can bring engineers for the workshop day and come back with concrete patterns for guardrails, RAG and observability, and the small size makes it easy to compare notes with peers facing the same UK regulatory and budget pressures.
Event Features
- ✓Workshop day (June 10): one morning and one afternoon hands-on workshop per ticket
- ✓Talks day (June 11): standard talks and lightning talks from practitioners
- ✓Evening dinner and drinks reception on the workshop day
- ✓CFP theme: LLM and agent reliability (evaluation, guardrails, cost, latency)
- ✓CFP theme: observability, reliability and incident response
- ✓CFP theme: fine-tuning, RAG and generative AI in live products
- ✓CFP theme: responsible AI governance, safety and compliance
What Makes This Unique
- ★Talks must have a production thread: the call for speakers asks for systems in real use, not prototypes.
- ★Cheap enough for a whole team. The conference day starts at £141 and the workshop day plus conference at £260 on super early bird.
- ★Small and practitioner-run. The 2026 edition featured Red Hat's Mac Misiura on open-source LLM guardrails and Posit's George Stagg on building agents.
- ★Outside London, at a venue a short walk from Newcastle Central Station, which keeps travel and hotel costs down for UK teams.
