Akeneo Agentic Ziggy
by Akeneo
Agentic AI layer inside the Akeneo Product Cloud that enriches, governs, and orchestrates product data at catalog scale
Agentic Ziggy is an AI-native workspace embedded in the Akeneo Product Cloud that lets product data teams run fleets of agents to model, map, enrich, and quality-check product information. It is aimed at brands, manufacturers, distributors, and retailers preparing their catalogs for agentic commerce.
Agentic Ziggy, announced on July 8, 2026 as the centerpiece of Akeneo's Summer Release, is an agentic UI layer embedded directly in the Akeneo Product Cloud — the company's SaaS product experience platform spanning PIM, DAM, Supplier Data Manager, Activation, Digital Showroom, PX Insights, and Shared Catalogs. Named after Akeneo's hydra mascot, Agentic Ziggy lets product data teams manage fleets of agents that enrich, govern, and orchestrate product data on their behalf: agents handle data modeling, schema mapping, data enrichment, and continuous data-quality checks across catalogs that can run to millions of SKUs. Merchandisers use enrichment agents, syndication managers use channel agents that translate complex retailer errors into clear, actionable guidance for self-service resolution, and catalog teams deploy data-quality agents for continuous completeness checks. The release adds natural-language workflows so improvements execute without manual configuration, prompt-based AI asset transformations inside the Akeneo DAM (for example generating color variants or editing backgrounds), and enterprise governance built on role-based permissions, approval mechanisms, a propose-and-approve model, and full visibility into agent actions. Akeneo CEO Romain Fouache said Agentic Ziggy "combines 15 years of product data expertise with AI-assisted execution," and Elemis product data strategy manager Tiaan Heystek said it helps the team "move beyond completeness alone by surfacing section-level readiness." Akeneo positions the release as the first phase of a multi-year investment in agentic product operations; the company also acquired PricingHUB to extend the platform, and its customer base includes Chico's, TaylorMade Golf, Rail Europe, American Eagle, Clarks, Steelcase, Tiffany & Co., Fanatics, and Staples.
