KubeCon + CloudNativeCon North America 2026
by Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF)
The CNCF flagship for Kubernetes, cloud native infrastructure and the plumbing behind modern AI
About This Event
KubeCon + CloudNativeCon North America 2026 runs 9–12 November 2026 at the Salt Palace Convention Center in Salt Lake City, Utah. Monday 9 November is given over to co-located events and project lightning talks; Tuesday to Thursday carry the keynotes, breakout sessions and solutions showcase. Run by the Cloud Native Computing Foundation, it is the flagship gathering for CNCF graduated, incubating and sandbox projects, and the 2026 edition foregrounds the infrastructure behind modern AI systems. Eleven co-located events run on the Monday, including Agentics Day: MCP + Agents, Cloud Native AI + Inference Day, Platform Engineering Day, Open Source SecurityCon and Observability Day. The 2025 North America edition in Atlanta drew more than 9,300 attendees.

- ✓Security engineers
Why Attend
KubeCon is where a platform engineering organisation learns what its next two years of infrastructure look like, from the maintainers rather than from a booth. For enterprises now running inference on Kubernetes, the Cloud Native AI + Inference Day and Agentics Day co-located tracks go into GPU scheduling, model serving and agent tooling at a depth no general AI conference reaches. Because the CNCF is vendor-neutral, roadmap conversations happen with the people who merge the code, and the All-Access pass buys the Monday co-located days where most of the substantive arguments actually take place.

What Makes This Unique
- ★Vendor-neutral: the CNCF runs it, and the agenda comes from graduated, incubating and sandbox project communities rather than one vendor's roadmap
- ★Eleven co-located events on 9 November covering AI agents, inference, platform engineering, security and observability
- ★Academic registration is a flat $275 all-access with no price escalation — one of the cheapest routes into a major infrastructure conference
- ★A separate individual/hobbyist tier priced at roughly half the corporate rate, so maintainers are not gated out
- ★The 2025 North America edition drew more than 9,300 attendees, making it the largest open source infrastructure gathering in the region
