The fifth international AI Summit — AI as a driver of prosperity, governed responsibly

About This Event

The Geneva AI Summit 2027 takes place June 21-22, 2027 at Palexpo in Geneva, Switzerland, hosted by the Swiss Confederation as the fifth edition of the international AI Summit series that began at Bletchley Park in 2023 and continued through Seoul, Paris and New Delhi. It is built around two objectives — establishing AI as a driver of prosperity and progress for all, and promoting trustworthy, responsible and safe use of AI — with curated participation from governments, academia, the private sector and civil society.

Who Should Attend

  • CTOs
  • CIOs
  • Chief AI Officers
  • Heads of AI policy and regulatory affairs
  • Government ministers and diplomats
  • Academic researchers
  • Civil society leaders

Why Attend

This is where the next round of international AI rules gets negotiated, and the commitments made here tend to become the compliance obligations enterprises face 18 to 24 months later — as Bletchley, Seoul and Paris each did. A CTO or CIO who attends gets an early, first-hand read on cross-border AI governance direction instead of reacting to it once it lands in regulation.

Event Features

  • Head-of-state and ministerial plenaries on global AI governance
  • Multistakeholder working sessions spanning government, industry, academia and civil society
  • Programming on AI safety and trustworthy deployment
  • Adjacency to the ITU AI for Good Global Summit
  • Sessions on AI's impact on healthcare, climate action and agriculture

What Makes This Unique

  • Fifth edition of the international AI Summit series that produced the Bletchley Declaration (UK 2023), the Seoul commitments (2024), the Paris action summit (2025) and the New Delhi summit (2026)
  • Hosted by the Swiss Confederation and announced by Swiss President Guy Parmelin at the 2026 New Delhi summit
  • Runs back-to-back with the ITU's AI for Good Global Summit in Geneva
  • Sited in Geneva, home to the UN's international-organization cluster and the ITU
  • Curated, capacity-limited participation deliberately balanced across governments, academia, the private sector and civil society
  • The UAE will host the following (2028) edition, giving the series a confirmed forward path
