  • ✓Database and data platform engineers
  • ✓AI product and research leads at Indian tech companies
  • ✓PhD students and early-career researchers

Why Attend

For an engineering or data leader with teams in India, CODS is a cheap way to meet the country's ML and data-systems research community in one place and to see what applied groups at Google, Microsoft Research India, Amazon, Intuit and TCS Research are working on. The deployment and MLOps papers are useful benchmarks for your own platform choices. The Rising Star Award and Young Researchers' Symposium give you a shortlist of PhD and early-career hires. It is also a low-cost venue for your own team to publish applied work, with a 2-page non-archival option. A non-member professional pass is USD 250 plus GST.

Event Features

  • ✓Main Track (archival 8-page and non-archival 2-page papers)
  • ✓AI for Biology Track (new in 2026)
  • ✓Young Researchers' Symposium
  • ✓Early Career Highlights invited talks
  • ✓Rising Star Award
  • ✓Startups call
  • ✓Keynotes, tutorials, poster sessions and system demonstrations
  • ✓Best technical paper award and student travel grants

What Makes This Unique

  • ★It is the main ACM-backed data science research meeting in India, and sponsors include Google, Sarvam AI, InMobi, Intuit, Adobe, Amazon, Microsoft and TCS Research.
  • ★A 'Deployments and Lessons Learned' topic area asks for MLOps experience and measured business impact, so applied teams present alongside researchers.
  • ★It covers both AI and data management, including LLM-style queries over unstructured data and ML inside database internals.
  • ★Fees are low for an international conference: a non-member professional pays INR 15,000 or USD 250 to attend.
