CCGrid 2027: 27th IEEE International Symposium on Cluster, Cloud, and Internet Computing
by IEEE, hosted by the HPCC Lab at the University of North Texas
Systems research on AI workloads, cloud, edge and distributed computing, in Dallas-Fort Worth
About This Event
CCGrid 2027, the 27th IEEE International Symposium on Cluster, Cloud, and Internet Computing, takes place May 24-27, 2027 in Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas, hosted by the HPCC Lab at the University of North Texas. The call for papers has seven tracks, and two deal directly with AI: Systems for AI/ML and Distributed Intelligence, and Systems for LLM Applications and Agentic AI. Papers must make a substantive systems contribution, so work mainly about model architectures or learning algorithms falls outside the AI/ML track. The 11th IEEE International Conference on Fog and Edge Computing and the first IEEE International Conference on Quantum Systems are co-located.

Topics & Focus Areas
Who Should Attend
- ✓Distributed systems researchers
- ✓AI infrastructure engineers
- ✓Cloud platform architects
- ✓MLOps engineers
- ✓VPs of infrastructure
- ✓Graduate students in systems
Why Attend
CCGrid is a research venue, so a CTO or VP of infrastructure gets the most from it by sending the people who run AI platforms. The AI/ML track covers distributed training, inference and model serving, federated and edge learning, model placement, MLOps and benchmarking, the same questions that sit behind a GPU budget or a serving architecture. The chairs listed in the call come mostly from universities, so treat the trip as technical scouting and recruiting, with little vendor selling to expect.
Event Features
- ✓Track: Systems for AI/ML and Distributed Intelligence (distributed training, inference and model serving, federated and edge learning, model compression and placement, MLOps, benchmarking)
- ✓Track: Systems for LLM applications and agentic AI
- ✓Track: Hardware systems, networking, architectures, and future compute platforms
- ✓Track: Performance modeling, analysis, and optimization
- ✓Track: Sustainable computing and green technologies
- ✓Scale Challenge, Doctoral Symposium, posters and workshops
- ✓Co-located ICFEC 2027 (fog and edge computing) and QSys 2027 (quantum systems)
What Makes This Unique
- ★The AI/ML track requires a systems contribution, which keeps the focus on running AI workloads instead of model design
- ★A separate track covers systems for LLM applications and agentic AI
- ★Co-located with ICFEC 2027 and the first IEEE International Conference on Quantum Systems (QSys 2027)
- ★Listed as CCF C and ICORE B on myhuiban, with a reported average acceptance rate of 27.5% for 2001-2021
