by Asian Federation of Computer Vision
The Asian Federation of Computer Vision's flagship biennial conference, in Osaka
About This Event
The 18th Asian Conference on Computer Vision (ACCV 2026) runs 14-18 December 2026 in Osaka, Japan, with workshops, tutorials, competitions and grand challenges on 14-15 December and the main technical programme on 16-18 December. Organised by the Asian Federation of Computer Vision, ACCV is the region's flagship computer vision meeting and the Asian counterpart to CVPR and ICCV. Proceedings are published by Springer in the Lecture Notes in Computer Science series, and award-winning papers are invited to submit to the International Journal of Computer Vision. Review is double-blind and hosted on OpenReview, across 25-plus topic areas including 3D vision, autonomous driving, face recognition, video analysis, biomedical imaging and vision-language research. Papers were due 5 July 2026, acceptance notifications went out on 20 September 2026 and camera-ready copy was due 4 October 2026.

Why Attend
For a CTO or VP weighing computer vision investment, ACCV shows next-generation perception models 12 to 18 months before they surface on a vendor roadmap. Osaka puts you in front of the Asian research base that supplies much of the manufacturing-inspection, autonomous-driving and retail-analytics talent pool, and the vision-language track is the clearest available read on where multimodal enterprise assistants are heading. Realistic outcomes are a recruiting pipeline, a basis for challenging CV vendor benchmark claims, and a shortlist of academic groups worth sponsoring.
