Use Cases

  • SMB credit underwriting
  • AML alert triage
  • Customer onboarding and KYC/KYB
  • Insurance claims processing
  • Fraud decisioning at transaction time

Ideal For

Best For

  • Automating SMB and consumer credit underwriting with a mix of bureau data, ML scorecards and hand-written policy rules
  • KYC/KYB onboarding decisions that need to scale customer volume without adding a proportional headcount of reviewers
  • AML alert triage and financial-crime investigation where false-positive volume is the operational bottleneck
  • Insurance claims assessment and first-notice-of-loss routing with human review on the exceptions
  • Risk teams that need to A/B test and backtest a policy change against historical decisions before it goes live

Not Ideal For

  • Companies outside financial services and insurance — the pre-built agents, data connectors and case workflows are all built around lending, KYC, AML and claims, so a general workflow-automation need is better served by a horizontal tool
  • Teams that need an on-premise or air-gapped deployment: Taktile runs entirely in its own AWS cloud footprint with regionalised infrastructure, not inside your data centre
  • Early-stage startups with low decision volume and no published pricing tolerance — there is no self-serve tier and every engagement is a sales-led enterprise contract
  • Buyers wanting deep, flexible reporting out of the box: G2 reviewers specifically flag limited reports and difficulty retrieving decision data during testing

Market Analysis

Enterprise-gradeVertical/Financial servicesRegulated-industry
User Rating4.7/ 5

Pros

  • Consistently strong user satisfaction — a G2 Category Leader for six consecutive quarters in Decision Management Platforms, with reviewers repeatedly citing quality of support
  • Reviewers say it hits the middle ground between a custom-built decision engine and a rigid legacy platform, without months of engineering work
  • Deep, verifiable enterprise logo list for a company of its size, including Allianz, Monzo, Mercury, Faire, Pleo and Rakuten Bank
  • Published, specific outcome metrics (95% B2B underwriting automation, 75% AML false-positive reduction) rather than generic ROI claims
  • $184M raised and a Goldman Sachs-led Series C reduce the vendor-viability risk that normally blocks core-decisioning purchases

Cons

  • G2 reviewers report data inaccuracy problems, specifically difficulty testing and retrieving decision data when validating a flow
  • Reporting is described by reviewers as limited and the interface as not consistently user-friendly, with some workflows called cumbersome
  • No published pricing whatsoever and no self-serve entry point, so evaluation requires a full sales engagement before you know the cost
  • Cloud-only on AWS — there is no on-premise or air-gapped option, which rules it out for some sovereign or highly regulated deployments
  • Shorter enterprise track record than incumbents like FICO or Provenir, which matters in procurement at large tier-1 institutions

Taktile is an agentic decision platform that lets banks, lenders and insurers automate high-stakes customer decisions such as onboarding, credit underwriting, AML and fraud investigation, and insurance claims. It combines AI agents with deterministic business rules, machine-learning models and human review, so risk and operations teams can change live policy logic without waiting on an engineering release cycle.

Taktile sells an Agentic Decision Platform aimed squarely at regulated financial institutions, and it is built around the observation that a general-purpose agent framework is not sufficient to run a decision that a regulator will later audit. The platform has five components: an AI Agent Manager holding pre-built agents for financial workflows, a no-code Decision Engine where risk analysts assemble policy logic as a visual flow, a Case Manager that routes exceptions to human reviewers, a Context Layer that centralises customer data across systems, and the underlying real-time decision API that production systems call. Crucially, every step is versioned, backtestable and A/B testable, and machine-learning scorecards can be deployed inside the same flow as hand-written rules, which is what lets a credit or fraud policy be changed by an analyst rather than a release train. Taktile ships native connectors to more than 30 data providers including Experian, TransUnion, Equifax, LexisNexis, Plaid, Snowflake, MongoDB and OpenAI, so institutions can swap bureaus without re-plumbing. Founded in 2020 by Maik Taro Wehmeyer and Maximilian Eber, both formerly of QuantCo, the New York-headquartered company also operates from Berlin, London, Sao Paulo and Iasi. It raised a $110M Series C led by Growth Equity at Goldman Sachs Alternatives on 24 June 2026, taking total funding to $184M, and names Mercury, Monzo, Faire, Pleo, Allianz, Kueski, Navan, Questrade, Zilch and Rakuten Bank as customers. Published outcomes include 95% automation of B2B underwriting and a 75% reduction in AML false positives.

Ideal Buyer

The head of risk, credit or financial-crime operations at a bank, lender, neobank or insurer who needs policy logic changed weekly but currently files an engineering ticket for every change

Key Benefit

Risk analysts edit, backtest and ship live decision policies themselves, collapsing a change cycle measured in engineering sprints down to hours while keeping a full audit trail

Key Features

  • No-code Decision Engine

A visual flow builder where risk analysts compose policy logic, rules and model calls without writing production code or waiting on engineering

  • AI Agent Manager

Pre-built agents for financial workflows such as AML investigation and underwriting, run under explicit policy constraints rather than free-form prompting

  • Case Manager with human-in-the-loop review

Routes exceptions and low-confidence decisions to human reviewers, which is what keeps automated decisions defensible to a regulator

  • Backtesting and A/B testing

Replay a candidate policy against historical decisions and split live traffic, so a change is measured before it affects the whole book

  • 30+ native data integrations

Connectors to Experian, TransUnion, Equifax, LexisNexis, Plaid, Snowflake, MongoDB and OpenAI, letting institutions swap providers without re-plumbing pipelines

  • Versioning and audit trails

Every decision, rule version and data input is logged, which is the difference between an automated policy and an auditable one

  • Real-time decision API

Production systems call a single low-latency endpoint, so decisioning sits behind the application rather than inside it

Use Cases

  • SMB credit underwriting

Automate complex small-business lending decisions that previously needed manual analyst review, with one customer reaching 95% automation in B2B underwriting

  • AML alert triage

Cut false-positive alert volume so investigators spend time on genuine cases; one published result reports a 75% reduction in false positives

  • Customer onboarding and KYC/KYB

Scale identity and business verification decisions without expanding the review team, with teams reporting tripled onboarding capacity

  • Insurance claims processing

Assess and route claims automatically with human review on exceptions; one global insurer projects over $90M in claims cost efficiencies

  • Fraud decisioning at transaction time

Score transactions in real time against bureau, device and behavioural signals and act within the payment flow rather than after settlement
