Agent Native Cloud is Alibaba Cloud's group of services for running AI agents in production. It includes AgentRun for lifecycle management, AgentTeams for multi-agent coordination, AgentLoop for tracing and evaluation, and serverless agent sandboxes. It is for enterprises that have to run many short-lived, bursty agent workloads with isolation, identity and governance built in.

Agent Native Cloud is the name Alibaba Cloud gave to its agent infrastructure strategy at the World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC 2026) on July 20, 2026. Alibaba presents it as the step after AI-native cloud: the cloud is redesigned around agents rather than models. Coverage of the launch lists six foundational capabilities. The first is runtime environments with lightweight sandboxes that support very high concurrency and millisecond cold starts. The second is orchestration and governance for multi-agent collaboration using leader-worker models. The third is security through task-level controls, identity management and behavioural monitoring. The fourth is semantically layered short-term, long-term and knowledge memory. The fifth is a unified data plane for structured, unstructured and streaming data. The sixth is a skills portal that turns cloud services into MCP-compatible agent skills. Alibaba says that portal covered 60+ cloud products at its May 2026 Qwen Conference. The named products are AgentRun (the existing lifecycle platform), plus AgentLoop (real-time tracing, evaluation and optimisation) and AgentTeams (multi-agent coordination and governance), both new at WAIC. Alongside them sit TokenWorks for inference routing and scheduling inside PAI, the ANOLISA agent-oriented operating system, and Qwen Cloud for model access. At the September 2026 Apsara Conference Alibaba added AgentCore, Agent Security Center and Agent Context. Alibaba claims Agent Context cuts token consumption by up to 67% in knowledge-intensive workloads. Execution is billed through Function Compute's agent sandbox, which charges per vCPU-, memory- and disk-hour and is still in preview. Independent analysts at Forrester frame the suite as part of an industry shift toward operational agent systems. DigitalApplied, however, points out that the WAIC launch came with no suite-level pricing, GA dates, named customers, SLAs or published compliance posture. That places it against AWS Bedrock AgentCore, Microsoft Agent 365 and Google's agent platforms.

Only the execution layer has published pricing. Function Compute agent sandboxes are billed pay-as-you-go per vCPU-hour, memory GiB-hour and disk GiB-hour across Eco, Std and Pro tiers. vCPU billing stops in light hibernation, and the prices are preview rates that Alibaba says may change. No pricing was disclosed for AgentTeams, AgentLoop or the wider suite at launch.
