KubeCon + CloudNativeCon Europe 2028
by Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF), The Linux Foundation
CNCF's flagship European conference returns to Berlin, 24-27 April 2028
About This Event
KubeCon + CloudNativeCon Europe 2028 takes place 24-27 April 2028 in Berlin, Germany. CNCF describes its flagship conference as the event where adopters and technologists from the leading open source and cloud native communities gather, and the European edition is the largest Kubernetes and cloud native gathering outside North America. AI is now a first-class part of that programme rather than a side track: for the 2026 Amsterdam edition CNCF ran a dedicated AI track built around implementing AI and ML inside cloud native ecosystems, citing that 41% of AI developers are now cloud native, alongside CNCF-hosted co-located one-day events covering AI, observability, platform engineering, security and WebAssembly. That edition offered 224 keynotes, lightning talks, maintainer-track sessions and CFP breakout sessions. The 2028 Berlin page is currently a save-the-date.

- ✓CIOs
- ✓VPs of Platform Engineering
- ✓Heads of Infrastructure
- ✓Site reliability engineers
- ✓Platform and DevOps engineers
- ✓Enterprise architects
- ✓MLOps and AI infrastructure leads
Why Attend
Two years out this is a diary and budget decision, not a session-picking one, and it is worth making early: KubeCon Europe is where platform teams find out what the Kubernetes ecosystem will actually support before the vendors package it, and the AI track is now the clearest read available on how enterprises are running inference, training and GPU scheduling on the same cloud native substrate as everything else. A CTO leaves with a defensible view on the platform decisions — service mesh, observability stack, GPU scheduling, supply chain security — that are otherwise made by whichever vendor got in the door first, plus direct access to project maintainers.
Event Features
- ✓Dedicated AI track covering applications, tools and techniques for implementing AI and ML in cloud native ecosystems (2026 Amsterdam precedent)
- ✓CNCF-hosted co-located events day covering AI, observability, platform engineering, security and WebAssembly
- ✓Maintainer track sessions run by upstream project maintainers
- ✓Keynotes, lightning talks and CFP-selected breakout sessions — 224 in total at the 2026 European edition
- ✓Held in Berlin, following Amsterdam 2026 and Barcelona 2027 in CNCF's European rotation
What Makes This Unique
- ★CNCF's flagship European event — the vendor-neutral foundation runs it, so the programme is CFP-selected community content rather than a single vendor's roadmap pitch
- ★The AI track is grounded in the cloud native stack rather than models: CNCF frames it around implementing AI and ML inside cloud native ecosystems, citing that 41% of AI developers are now cloud native
- ★Monday CNCF-hosted co-located events are effectively a set of one-day mini-conferences (AI, observability, platform engineering, security, WebAssembly) bundled behind the All-Access Pass
- ★Maintainer track puts you in the room with the people who actually merge changes to the projects your platform depends on
- ★Announced roughly two years ahead, which is early enough to book travel budget and a CFP submission cycle around it

Pricing Details
Registration pricing for the 2028 Berlin edition is NOT published. As of August 2026 the LF Events page is a save-the-date with a mailing-list sign-up only — no registration, rate card, CFP or sponsor prospectus has opened. One structural detail does carry over from recent editions: CNCF's Monday co-located events require an All-Access Pass, so the cheaper single-track pass does not admit you to them.
